A couple check into the Cross Keys, Peebles for a Christmas break. Their happy interlude is shattered by the spectre of Meg Ritchie, who has haunted the hostelry for many years.The foetid, paranoid atmosphere of witch burning Peebles in 1629 erupts into the present, bringing the stench of burning flesh with it.
