The Eastgate Theatre & Arts Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Café Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with the Café Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our café and bar, helping to maintain its reputation as a welcoming and accessible space.
The Eastgate is a vibrant community venue featuring a 200-seat auditorium for live performances and film screenings, a studio for classes, workshops, and exhibitions, and a licensed café. The café plays an important role in enhancing the visitor experience within this busy cultural hub.
As Café Assistant, you will help maintain high standards of food, beverage, and customer service while assisting with the preparation of snacks, ensuring hygiene standards are met, and supporting the café’s stock and cash handling processes.
This post will be for a minimum of 10 hours per week, paid at the Real Living Wage (£12 per hour).
