DESCRIPTION:
An introduction to a different way of celebrating life’s milestones.
Being born, getting married, and dying are probably the three key happenings in our lives.
Over recent years, humanism has offered an increasingly popular alternative form of celebrating them through the services of their highly trained celebrants.
Stewart Allan and Tom Hudson are humanist celebrants in the Borders, and will present the underlying philosophy, principles, reasoning, and methodology behind the naming ceremonies, weddings and funerals they conduct. Curious? Wondering if humanist ceremonies are for you? Not sure what being a humanist means? Come along, see some examples of what happens in a humanist ceremony, and have the opportunity to discuss your thoughts with the celebrants.
