Cameron McNeish – a lifetime of exploring Scotland’s hills

Kevin Morgans’ exceptional new book exploring the life of puffins

Brand new for 2023, the inaugural Wild Writers Festival celebrates the wealth of exceptional writing and gets behind the words of authors exploring our relationship with the living world – covering topics from nature writing and adventure to ecology and the environment, memoir and sustainable travel.

Featuring writers from Scotland and beyond, the three-day festival showcases the work of both established and up-and-coming authors as they share ideas, stories, influences and inspirations. Live appearances include a mix of readings, meet-the-author sessions and signings, Q&As, panel discussions and lively solo presentations.

A sister event to the Peebles Outdoor Film Festival – which returns in 2024 – the Wild Writers Festival will provide a similar injection of vigour, energy and promise.

The full programme is now on this website – hit Festival or Talk on the category list on the home page and/or keep an eye on our social channels!
