Creative Peebles Festival, Friday 24 Aug – Sun day 2 Sept 2018
This year’s festival launches with the fantastic Open Galleries Evening on Friday when 15 different galleries , studios, workshops and even a house open from 6.30pm – 9pm showing a huge range of visual art to suit all budgets. Why not follow the art trail – see the map in the centre of the brochure – there are all sorts of treats in store.
During the rest of the week the creative people of Peebles celebrate as arts groups, musicians, poets, film makers and craftspeople stage performances, walks, talks and explorations. enjoy everything from a very famous dessicated rat in Neidpath Castle to the annual busking competition in the High Street, from a plaster museum to a strictly glamorous evening of dance in the Peebles Hydro Ballroom.

Rapt in Winter, 24-25 November 2018
An annual festival of visual arts and crafts created and exhibited by artists, galleries and studios in and around Peebles. The wealth of artwork being produced and exhibited in the town makes Peebles the focus of the festival, although it also includes venues further afield in Traquair, Broughton, West Linton and – for the first time – Innerleithen.
Read-a-licious, Tue 22 – Thu 22 November 2018
Celebrating its 5th birthday this year, this lively children’s book festival sees acclaimed authors and illustrators deliver three days of writing sessions and creative workshops for nursery, primary and secondary school pupils in and around Peebles. Also features open, public events at Peebles Library and the Tweeddale Gallery.
Peebles Outdoor Film Festival, Fri 25 – Sun 27 January 2019
A dazzling weekend of adventure films, inspiring speakers, and outdoor sessions in the beautiful Tweed Valley. The 2018 festival featured local heroes and big names from the worlds of mountain biking, ultra-triathlon, polar exploration, adventure filmmaking, bikepacking, adventure racing, fell running and climbing.
