In performance each musician brings his own individual influences to the fore then they playfully react to one another. This is the joyous sound of three friends having fun, improvisations housed in considered compositions, traditional songs and ragas from the UK, Ireland and India. They are playing music from their new album Navarasa: Nine Emotions.
Since meeting in 2015 Yorkston Thorne Khan have toured India, Denmark, Ireland and the UK and played virtually every important festival in the world.
