Vintage Jazz Weekend: Piccadilly Silent Film with Live Music
BRIEF ENCOUNTER Experience the magic of cinema as it used to be. Brief Encounter perform live music to accompany a screening of Piccadilly (1929) a silent British classic, set in the jazz age. Multi-instrumentalists Chris and Veronica accompany the film with a soundtrack compiled from silent films, jazz standards and Tin Pan Alley. This show will appeal to fans of vintage “The 1929 film Piccadilly is itself a masterpiece of cinema, no scene is superfluous.
