The Last Earl with Margaret Fox [please note change of speaker]

Margaret Fox, Archivist at Traquair House, tells the story of Traquair’s eighth, last and most eccentric earl, drawn from her research in the archives and tracing his life from a childhood in Spain, his education in Lancashire to his life at Traquair. There he focussed his energies on improving the estate, as well as organising wasp hunts, visiting the Great Exhibition in 1851 seventeen times and leaving the new railway a generous legacy in his will.
