In this short clip, Ian Buckingham, past Chair of Friends of the Eastgate, reflects on how the theatre has grown over the years to become such a vibrant part of the local community. With the building currently closed, he especially misses the films and live links to the National Theatre and Royal Opera. Oh, and bacon rolls in the café! As Ian says: “The Eastgate has been alive and buzzing in the past and we want it to be alive and buzzing again in the future.”
