Vintage Jazz Weekend: Tenement Jazz Band

Brought together by their shared love of New Orleans music and comprising musicians from various corners of Edinburgh’s vibrant jazz scene, Tenement Jazz Band are on a journey of exploration back to the roots of the music that they play. They capture the raw energy and excitement of the early jazz recordings, and revive lesser-heard songs, to captivate experienced jazzers, dancing persons, and uninitiated ears alike.

Winners of Best Band, Scottish Jazz Awards 2022 and part of the Travelling Tent Show which wow-ed audiences in Peebles in 2023 – they can’t wait to bring their love of early jazz back to the Eastgate Theatre!
