Join professional storyteller Franziska Droll in three new interactive and engaging storytelling workshops and dive into the world of stories. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or already an experienced storyteller – these workshops are for everyone! £15 for set of three workshops. These sessions are kindly sponsored by Tasgadh Traditional Arts Small Grants

  • Wednesday 18 October –  Starting with Stories – an introduction: This first session will introduce you to the core principles of storytelling, the general process of visualisation, and narrative patterns and structure. Discover your innate inner storyteller and begin to appreciate its skills.
  • Wednesday 25 October –  Body Language, Facial Expressions & Voice: The voice and the body tell us so much about a person: where they come from, their personality and how they’re feeling. A storyteller’s voice and body language need versatility as they must be able to communicate a range of emotions. The voice must have clarity so that every word can be heard and enough strength and resonance to fill a theatre auditorium.
  • Wednesday 1 November –  Preparing for your audience: The final workshop in the series is designed to help build confidence with not only storytelling, but also public speaking and presentations. Explore preparation, set up, rehearsal and live performance technique that can be utilised to enhance the experience for both the speaker and the audience. Learners will come away with tips that they can put into practice straightaway.
