Secret Tweeddale

Tue 11 February

Tweeddale Society: Liz Hanson explores beyond the most familiar local landscapes.

The upper Tweed valley is renowned for its’ beauty; the rounded, overlapping hills, punctuated by steep, wild glens are familiar to all who have travelled along the main road from the source of the river. Secret Tweeddale explores beyond the obvious to reveal some lesser-known locations, ranging from the dramatic to the quirky, including some diversions up the tributaries when there is a worthwhile story.

Liz Hanson has lived in Peeblesshire for most of the last 40 years, during which time she has walked extensively, discovering interesting facts that are absent from the tourist brochures.
