Restoration! The Comedy of Manners (Acting Up Workshops)

Acting Up offers fun acting workshops designed for those aged 50 and above but is open to all adults. This term delve into the restoration period of drama and it’s outrageousness! Restoration plays come from the reign of Charles II and his immediate successors (circa 1660 – 1710) and like the King himself, they are bold and lewd. Cross dressing, marital misery, drunkeness, thwarted marriages, property disasters – there’s something for everyone with these plays! Come and get stuck in. Workshops run on Saturdays 19, 26 August, 16, 23, 30 September and 7 October. NO CLASSES on 2 or 9 September.
