POFF next door – Sports injury prevention and cure session at Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland, Peel Tower, Glentress EH45 8NB
A chance to learn from one of the world’s leading experts in his field …
Do you experience knee pain walking downhill, back pain when cycling, or achilles pain while running? Then let Phil Mack, Consultant Sports Physiotherapist & Sports Scientist at Peebles Physiotherapy, offer tips on avoiding injury when enjoying the outdoors – and what to do when you don’t.
We are very fortunate to have Phil with us at the festival this year: having worked with Olympic, professional and international athletes – including as physiotherapist and performance coach for pro teams such as the South African Springboks, ACT Brumbies (in Australia), Ulster Rugby, Leicester Tigers and the South African Triathlon Team – Phil is widely regarded as one of the most experienced sports physiotherapists in the world today.
Phil specialises in rugby, climbing, running and mountain bike injuries (with considerable personal experience of the latter), and is also highly regarded for his assessment and treatment of knee and hand injuries.
This hugely-informative interactive session includes practical demos, plus recovery stories from local athletes. Hosted by festival partner, Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland.
