A workshop to explore colour that moves you and create colour atmospheres inspired by paintings you love.
A workshop to explore what colour harmony really means. Is it a uniquely individual thing, or might there be any common elements? The class will show how colour theory can help us when we want to create harmonies in our painting, and we will play with colour associations. Reproductions of well-known works of art will be one of our sources of inspiration, these will be supplied and there will be plenty of choice. But if you have favourites of your own in a book or as a post card, please feel free to bring them. Acrylic paints will be our medium, and these are included in the class fee, as well as the use of brushes, canvas and paper. However if you prefer to bring your own that is ok. The principles we will work with apply to all mediums such as gouache or oil paint. If you intend to bring your own paints, please contact Bella via the contact from on her website www.bellagreen.co.uk to make sure you have the appropriate range of colours needed. She will send you a list if necessary.
