Exhibition of pastels and lino cuts in the Eastgate Cafe/Foyer.
Andrew takes inspiration from the Scottish landscape and from Scotland’s amazing wildlife. He spends as much time as he can exploring the hills and islands of Scotland and finds himself captivated by the ever-changing subtlety and complexity of light and colour. Every day is different and provides continuing inspiration.
Andrew is particularly drawn to pastels because they allow him to convey how he sees the landscape, but during lockdown he took the opportunity to experiment with linocut printing.
When he’s not doing art, he works for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds on climate and land use issues.
