Great piano masterpieces by Schubert and Brahms, together with a Scottish rarity and a World Premiere.
Duncan Honeybourne is a distinguished pianist and teacher. This performance is part of a Scottish tour premiering a series of short solo piano pieces written specially for Duncan by Aberdeen-based composer Philip Cooke.
Also on Duncan’s programme is Alexander Mackenzie’s Scenes from the Scottish Highlands, and the concert is bounded by two great masterpieces, the Drei Klavierstücke by Schubert and the Piano Sonata No.3 by Brahms.
