THE JOHN BUCHAN STORY MUSEUM presents Many More Than 39 Steps!
John Buchan’s most famous novel has inspired generations of film makers since 1935 when Alfred Hitchcock cast Robert Donat as Richard Hannay. In 1958 the role was taken by Kenneth More and in 1978 Robert Powell became the mining engineer trying to avert a political assassination intended to trigger World War I.
This is an opportunity to see all three classic films. Each, with very different interpretations of Buchan’s great adventure story, will be introduced by John Buchan’s grand-daughter.
