Steeped in Scottish music –  spiritually, physically, intellectually and academically – Borders raised Lori Watson is an award-winning singer and fiddle player, appearing solo and with a number of famous groups including Boreas, Watson/Black and Rule of Three.  A former BBC Scotland Young Traditional Musician finalist, she has performed across the UK, Europe and Canada, broadcast on radio, television and the internet and worked with artists such as Cara Dillon, Karine Polwart, and Cathal McConnell.

In the final year of her BA honours in Scottish Music at RSAMD Lori specialised in the rich musical traditions of the Scottish Borders.  She is also the first Doctor of Artistic Research in Scottish Music.
