What makes you climb a tree without worrying about the fall? What prompts you to see the monster in the shadows? What songs do you sing when no one is listening?
Rising star of the Scottish folk scene Kirsty Law, uses Scottish folklore, song and film to explore the concept of the ‘inner child’. Performing in both Scots and English, Law’s sound is fresh, charged and exciting yet resonates with stories and images that have withstood the test of time.
Law will perform with pedal harpist Esther Swift (Twelfth Day) and drummer Owen Curtis Williams (Eagleowl, Rob St John, Two Wings, The Pictish Trail).
“Beautiful and feisty… it’s a joy to hear a young singer and writer in Scots with such earthy and conversational character to her singing and songs… a young musician doing things her own way” Karine Polwart
