The National Theatre at Home presents Jane Eyre
No so much an adaptation, more of a re-imagining of Charlotte Brontë’s masterpiece uncovering one woman’s fight for freedom and fulfilment on her own terms. Time and again in this passionate production a description is translated into colour, movement and feeling. Floating window frames slam shut, the book flares into life. The red room in which the young Jane is locked is created with a flood of scarlet light and real flames flicker as Rochester’s house burns.
The link will be added on Thursday 9 April then you will be able to watch Jane Eyre any time during the next week. Meanwhile this is the non specific link.
