From the wrong side of the tracks in Portland, Oregon, figure skater Tonya Harding was never fully accepted yet went on to become national champion, a world championship medallist, an Olympian, and the first American woman to complete a Triple Axel in competition. On 6 January 1994 her rival the graceful, elegant, popular Nancy Kerrigan was attacked. Tonya found herself banned from figure skating for life. This film tells the story of her life leading up to the incident and its aftermath.
