Hegedu

Hegedu (Hungarian for violin) is an electrifying Edinburgh-based contemporary folk project blending three violins, cello, and guitar into a mesmerizing fusion of Celtic fiddle, classical, Scandinavian folk, and chamber music.

Featuring some of Scotland’s finest fiddlers, Isla Ratcliff and Morag Brown, Hegedu delivers a fresh, original sound that’s both haunting and vibrant. With their debut EP turning heads, this exciting new ensemble promises some of the most breathtaking folk fiddle music you’ll hear anywhere.
