Following the opening of the Eastgate Café on 15 July – the first stage in a gradual re-opening of the building – Friends of the Eastgate caught up with café manager Mikuni to find out what changes people can expect and some of the planning that has gone into welcoming customers back. As Mikuni says, “When you come to the cafe you will see changes, but you will also have the same feeling that you are coming into a happy place.” The Eastgate Cafe is open from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
