A strong supporter of the Eastgate through its involvement in the annual Peebles Outdoor Film Festival, the John Muir Trust has also dabbled in traditional music – another area of Eastgate expertise! Several years ago, the conservation charity worked with students from the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music to produce a collection of tunes and songs evoking people and place, all inspired by properties cared for by the Trust throughout Scotland. These include Glenlude, a former sheep farm and conifer plantation near Traquair that is being returned to a mosaic of native habitats. Sadly, the CD is no longer available, but we hope you enjoy this gorgeous tune!
