This prequel to Harry Potter is set in 1926 when the world of wizards and Muggles are in conflict. Wizard Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stay, he might have come and gone without incident were it not for a No-Maj (Muggle) named Jacob and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts – an escape that could spell trouble for both the wizardry and No-Maj worlds.
