A first for comedy and a first for the Eastgate, this show will be performed by Ray simultaneously in spoken English and British Sign Language (which just so happens to be Ray’s first language).
Packed with hilarious, revealing tales of growing up with deaf parents, the show was described in Broadway Baby as “a winning combination of substance and humour, without sacrificing one for the other”. Ray is a consummate story teller, “turning each and every story into pure hilarity” (One4Review) and peppering his extraordinary tales (including buying his parent’s house when he was nine) with the sort of humour that induces belly-laughs.
Deaf Comedy Fam was a total sell-out on the Edinburgh Fringe last year. It was the Weekly Winner on Adelaide Fringe 2018 and was Perth Fringeworld nominee for Best Comedy.
