The Eastgate Theatre is one of three hubs for the national programme Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland.
A series of weekly dance workshops (seated or standing) designed especially for those with Parkinson’s disease, their families and carers. These sessions are suitable for people with no dance experience and will develop participants’ confidence and creativity, while addressing specific concerns such as balance, flexibility, coordination, mobility and social isolation. Each session will be accompanied by live music, and will include tea/coffee, biscuits and a blether.
Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland Programme is a joint initiative by Dance Base, (Scotland’s national centre for dance), and Scottish Ballet.
