A trio of Britain’s finest woodwind players perform an extraordinary afternoon concert which includes playing accompaniment to three Scottish archive films.

MUSIC IN PEEBLES presents Cuillin Sound

This trio is made up of some of Britain’s finest woodwind players –  Dana Morgan (flute), Sarah Watts (clarinets), Laurence Perkins (bassoon) – and is now one of the UK’s leading chamber ensembles.  The programme opens with:

Edward McGuire                    Celtic Knotwork

Following the interval they will play Distant Lands – A Hebridean Journey.  This is a programme of live music to three Scottish Archive films: Eriskay – A poem of remote lives (1934) The Highlands and islands (1929) St. Kilda – Britain’s loneliest isle (1928).
