The theme for this conversation is the importance of green space for both mental and physical health.
As the political rhetoric heats up ahead of COP26, the international conference due to take place in Glasgow in November, this Tweed Green series offers you the chance to join the conversation. Three sessions over three weeks bring together speakers with varied experience of environmental activism, and fresh ideas about how we can each make a difference through personal, local or national initiatives.
Session 2: Making it Personal
The importance of green space for both mental and physical health is a theme that connects two books by local authors. Retired mental health practitioner Jan Cameron draws on personal experience in The Garden Cure; while The Wellbeing Toolkit for Doctors is based on Dr Lesley Morrison’s many years of experience as a GP. The conversation is led by Catherine Lockerbie, former director of Edinburgh International Book Festival.
