When this band plays, a blistering barrage of traditional folk and gypsy-flavoured music from across the Balkans and Russia gives way to Klezmer laments, Romanian Doinas, Hungarian Czadas and the band’s own re-imaginings of tunes by the romantic greats including squeezebox concertos by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.
