These two dynamic young string quartets have joined forces to become one of the most exciting new collaborations in UK chamber music, now able to perform larger scale repertoire.  The concert culminates in a performance of Mendelssohn’s String Octet, probably the greatest work in the genre.

The musicians are: Philip Brett, Rosemary Attree, Christopher Jones and Gemma Sharples (violins); Christine Anderson and Kay Stephen (violas); Abby Hayward and Anna Menzies (cellos).
