Watch out for the ever changing exhibitions of work, usually by more than one artist, hung in the Eastgate Cafe/Foyer.

The cafe is open 10am – 5pm Monday – Saturday, from 6.30pm on performance evenings and from 12.30 on Film Sundays.

There are no art works on display at present.

The latest was by watercolourist Julie Morris who bases her work on local scenery and architecture. Her recent landscapes are focused on the open spaces of the lowlands in the South of Scotland which includes the soft hills, the rivers and the countryside.

“I like to have a contrast in my landscapes. A lot of light and dark and some strong colour to bring the painting together”.
