THE CAFE FOYER
In addition to the improvements to the auditorium the café/foyer area has been significantly improved by the repositioning of the main entrance and the creation of a “snug” area designed (with advice from Dementia Friends Scotland) to help the theatre continue to improve accessibility.
This phase of the Eastgate Development Project has delivered:
- A new front entrance, with double automatic doors
- A new snug area in the café with theatre seats
- A completely new raked seating bank
- Alterations to the walls on the side galleries to improve sight lines
- Replacement of the gallery seating so that the seats are angled to the stage
- Hand grabs in the aisle of the raked auditorium seating bank
- Lighting on all of the auditorium stairs to improve safety
- Upgrading of the heating/air handling system
