Tonight’s short films (above) explore adventures in remote corners of the globe followed, after the interval, by an evening with world-renowned explorer Benedict Allen – famed for his technique of immersing himself among indigenous peoples. From crossing the Amazon Basin and trekking through the Gobi with just camels for company to his recent rather high-profile return to Papua New Guinea, few people have lived alone in so many potentially hostile environments for so long.
